Pimiento de Padron

Pimiento de Padron

Although this is so simple we couldn't leave out this Tapas bar favourite, not only delicious but also a game of russian roulette as about 1 in 10 is fiery hot and you will need a cold beer to assist.

  • Bag of Pimientos de Padron
  • Olive oil
  • Sea salt
  1. Thoroughly wash the peppers and then pat dry and place in a hot frying pan already smoking hot with the olive oil.
  2. Add the peppers and cook for 4-5 minutes turning regularly until the peppers are blistering and partly charred.
  3. Drain the peppers and then sprinkle liberally with sea salt.
